  • Garden for the Future, White Hills (map)

Keynote Speaker - 2023

Sophie Thomson

Environmental educator, presenter, speaker and author.

Sophie Thomson’s love affair with the environment and organic gardening stems from growing up in the family nursery in the Adelaide Hills.

As a popular national multimedia personality, TEDx presenter, and bestselling author, she delights in connecting with people as she feels our future, and the planet’s future, depend on all of us pulling together and doing the right thing.

In over 18 years on the ABC TV’s Gardening Australia program, her infectious enthusiasm continues to inspire countless people of all ages to put their green thumbs to good use – for the sake of the environment, their families’ enjoyment, and their own wellbeing.

What is the Bendigo Sustainability Festival?

This annual event aims to showcase the absolute best in sustainable living products, programs, goods, and services that are active here in Central Victoria. Attendees will have the chance to purchase, learn and explore many new and creative ways to live. They can then implement them into their everyday life at home and at work – all for a gold coin donation upon entry.

Throughout the day on the main stage and smaller stages, listen to the jam-packed speaker line-up informing us of their sustainable group, product, or service. E-bikes and electric vehicles on display, food and coffee, and stalls to peruse. BYO bottles, cups and bags to this waste wise event.

Be a stallholder!

The Bendigo Sustainability Group invites businesses and community organisations to participate in a celebration of sustainability in our region. The festival aims to showcase the best sustainable living products, programs, goods, and services that are active, here, in Central Victoria. Stallholders will be able to showcase sustainable products, services, and initiatives that offer sustainable solutions for both businesses and householders across Central Victoria.

This year we are offering you a ‘Talk at your stall’ option. Fill out the form with the Time and Topic and we’ll advertise this before the event and on the day.
