Action Groups

The BSG is home to number of action groups who work on specific sustainability issues. Action groups are volunteer-led and hold their own regular meetings and events.

Contact group coordinators to find out how you can get involved. Alternately, if you have an idea for an action group that you don’t see here, why not start your own? Contact hello@bsg.org.au, to find out about starting an action group.

  • Boomerang Bags Bendigo

Let’s make Bendigo a plastic bag free city and introduce Boomerang Bags (Now a World-Wide Movement). Produce reusable bags from unused or recycled fabric that can be borrowed and brought back.

We thank Leanne James and Loretta Kingston-Smith for setting up this group and the many volunteers who engaged the community and produced thousands of bags to reduce waste using recycled material and helped educate many to use alternatives to single use plastic.
