Bendigo Sustainable House Day - Passive Builders Spring Gully Oasis

  • Bendigo Sustainability Group 23A Somerville Street Flora Hill, VIC, 3550 Australia (map)

Step into this suburban home to see sustainability, self-sufficiency, and resource management in action.

Join us for our second Bendigo Sustainable House Day event of 2026 and discover how these homeowners utilise passive design - inside and out!

This 6-year-old family home shows what’s possible with thoughtful design and creativity. The homeowners will share how they sustainably approach living in a passive home, managing their gardens, hobbies, and lifestyle.

With a large water tank capturing rainwater, the property produces an abundance of fruit and vegetables, while also supporting native wildlife with habitat and native plants.

The nature strip has been planted full of a variety of species to further support local biodiversity.

Whether you’re interested in growing your own food, making better use of a suburban block, or simply curious to see what one household can achieve, this is a home full of ideas, stories, and inspiration.

Spaces are limited — book your place and come see sustainable living, self-sufficiency and community in action!
